Thanh Hoa surpasses 1 million visitors

Thanh Hoa attracted attention when it announced statistics on the number of visitors during the Hung Kings' death anniversary and the April 30 - May 1 holidays. On the morning of May 3, the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province said that during the holidays (from April 29 to May 3), the number of visitors to Thanh Hoa reached about 1,195,000 (nearly 1.2 million), an increase of 33.1% compared to the same period in 2022, of which the number of overnight guests reached about 690,000. Total tourism revenue reached about VND 2,865 billion, an increase of 48.3% compared to the same period in 2022.

The most popular tourist destinations in the province are Sam Son City: 850,000 visitors; Nghi Son Town: 78,200 visitors; Hai Tien: 77,000 visitors; Thanh Hoa City 39,800 visitors; Cam Luong Fish Stream 18,300 visitors... Room occupancy during the holidays reached about 81.5%.

Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho also achieved impressive numbers in terms of visitor numbers.

According to statistics from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, during the Hung Kings' death anniversary, April 30 and May 1 holidays this year alone, tourism revenue is estimated at more than 3,000 billion VND, an increase of 94.4% over the same period in 2022. Of which, visitors to tourist and entertainment areas are estimated at about 950,000; domestic tourists to Ho Chi Minh City are estimated at about 320,000.

Tourism revenue is estimated at 523 billion VND, an increase of 185%.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, it is estimated that during the recent holiday, the province welcomed nearly 800,000 visitors, including nearly 200,000 overnight guests. The average room occupancy rate reached 87.8%. Total revenue from tourists was more than 854 billion VND.

In Nghe AnDuring the 5-day holiday, the province welcomed 780,000 visitors, equal to 110% compared to 2022. The average room occupancy rate is estimated at over 80%. Total tourism revenue is estimated at 1,500 billion VND.

During the 5-day holiday (from April 29, 2023 to May 3, 2023), Hanoi welcomed 719,000 visitors, including 69,500 international tourists and 650,000 domestic tourists. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at 2.4 trillion VND. Implementing the direction of the Chairman of the City People's Committee, the Department of Tourism coordinated with the Department of Transport to organize free transportation for tourists visiting the capital by double-decker bus (it is estimated that during the 5-day holiday, 127 trips were made with more than 6,681 visitors).

Phu Quoc has fewer visitors, but Da Lat is not overloaded.

Da Lat is still an attractive destination for tourists but there is no shortage of accommodation or prolonged traffic jams like many previous holidays.

Vung Tau and Sa Pa maintain their appeal

Sa Pa (Lao Cai)is the most attractive destination in the North. During the 5-day April 30 holiday, Sa Pa is estimated to welcome 103,000 visitors, equal to 105% over the same period last year and the highest ever. During the 5-day holiday, total revenue is estimated to reach over 335 billion VND, equal to 120% over the same period in 2022 and 1.4 times higher than in 2019. The hotel room occupancy rate in the first three days was 95%, mainly in the mid- to high-end segment. Community tourism spots, the average occupancy rate reached 65%, of which the most crowded were in Ta Van and Muong Hoa communes.

Vung Tau Beachis always one of the country's tourist "hot spots" during major holidays of the year. During the recent 5-day holiday, Ba Ria - Vung Tau welcomed nearly 500,000 visitors, an increase of 46.1% compared to 2022, of which 124,615 were overnight visitors, and 11,834 were international visitors. Total tourism revenue during the 5-day holiday was 633,692 billion VND, an increase of 84.57% compared to 2022.

In Vung Tau city alone, the total number of visitors, entertainment and accommodation reached about 260,000. Total tourism revenue reached about 398,138 billion VND.

On the occasion of April 30 this year, the highway section passing through the areaBinh Thuan(Dau Giay - Phan Thiet and Phan Thiet - Vinh Hao) were put into operation. Thanks to that, the travel time from Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet (Binh Thuan) was shortened from nearly 5 hours to more than 2 hours. This is one of the important reasons why the number of tourists choosing Binh Thuan as a destination during the April 30 - May 1 holiday increased.

Mr. Bui The Nhan, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province, said that Binh Thuan is expected to welcome 160,000 visitors, double the number of visitors in 2022, with an average room occupancy rate of about 70 - 90% (of which 3-5 star hotels and resorts have room occupancy rates of approximately 95 - 100%), with estimated revenue of about 230 billion VND.

Danang Department of Tourismsaid that during the 5-day holiday (April 29 - May 3), the total number of visitors and tourists to the city is estimated at about 321,620, an increase of 26.6% compared to 2022. Of which, domestic visitors are estimated at 286,820, an increase of 16.3%; international visitors are estimated at 34,800, an increase of 4.7 times compared to 2022.

During the 5-day holiday,Thua Thien Huewelcomed 99,000 visitors, an increase of 80% over the same period in 2022, including about 36,300 international visitors, 26 times higher than in 2022, tourism revenue is estimated at 153 billion VND. Statistics on the number of visitors buying tickets to visit the relics in the world cultural heritage site in the 4 days from April 29 to May 2 reached 69,031 visitors. On May 1 alone, the Hue heritage site welcomed 24,313 visitors buying tickets to visit, the highest ever.

The number of visitors to Hue during this year's holiday is high thanks to the effects of the Hue Traditional Craft Festival week and the local festivals. In addition, the tourism industry has created a number of attractive products and services to attract tourists such as walking streets and new check-in points in the localities. It is estimated that about 250,000 tourists and locals will visit the festival.

Ninh Binhwelcomed more than 340 thousand visitors, an increase of 63% over the same period in 2022, room occupancy rate reached 85 - 90%, revenue reached 320 billion VND. The number of international visitors was more than 24 thousand.
