Many types of crime in Hai Duong decreased

In the first 6 months of the year, Hai Duong province had 228 cases with 473 subjects violating social order, a decrease of 78 cases compared to the same period in 2023.

On the morning of July 3, the Legal Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Council worked with the Provincial Police to review the report on the situation and results of security and order work in the first 6 months of 2024 and the key directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2024. The report will be presented at the 23rd Session of the 17th Provincial People's Council.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Khac Toan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council acknowledged and highly appreciated the results in the work of preventing and combating crimes and law violations achieved by the Provincial Police in the first 6 months of the year, contributing significantly to social stability and safety, promoting local socio-economic development.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council suggested that the report should carefully mention the assessment and evaluation of the crime situation, forecasting work, and implementation of warning and prevention measures for all types of crimes, especially new crimes, high-tech crimes, new drugs, and cover-ups...

The provincial police pay attention to stepping up the fight against corruption, economic crimes, crimes of position, drugs, high-tech crimes, and murder. Actively prevent fires, explosions, and traffic accidents. Promote the implementation of Project 06 of the Government in conjunction with the implementation of the Law on Identification. Coordinate with all levels, sectors, and organizations to effectively implement and raise the level of the movement of the entire people to protect national security.

At the meeting, the provincial police leaders received and answered the delegates' opinions requesting further clarification of some contents related to the situation of traffic accidents, new drug crimes, murder crimes... to analyze the situation, forecast, propose preventive and combat measures. Evaluate the situation of building commune-level police headquarters in localities subject to merger. Review the number of force members participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level to have measures to improve...

At the end of the working session, the leader of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee requested the Provincial Police to accept the instructions of the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and delegates to edit and complete the report and implement the tasks in the coming time.

In the first 6 months of the year, Hai Duong province had 228 cases with 473 subjects violating social order (a decrease of 78 cases compared to the same period in 2023).

The Provincial Police force discovered and arrested 300 cases, 362 subjects of crime, violations of economic, corruption and position laws (a decrease of 45.3% compared to the same period in 2023); arrested 374 cases, 637 subjects of drug crimes (a decrease of 16 cases compared to the same period in 2023), seized more than 671.8 grams of synthetic drugs, nearly 43.4 grams of heroin, more than 50 grams of marijuana.

During the same period, the whole province detected and handled 22,391 cases of traffic safety violations, with fines of more than 61.5 billion VND (an increase of 6,370 cases compared to the same period in 2023)...
