The contest is accompanied and coordinated by the United Nations Children's Fund in Vietnam (UNICEF), Binh Tay Import-Export Joint Stock Company (BITEX) and representatives of the Work: No Child's Business project.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Tran Van Dat, Director of the Department of Political Education and Student Affairs (Ministry of Education and Training) shared: School is not only a place to learn knowledge, but also a place to form personality, educate spirit and morality for the young generation. This is also an environment for each student to develop comprehensively in both physical and mental aspects. School safety does not stop at ensuring facilities, but is also related to an educational environment without violence, without pressure and with mutual respect.

The Education sector focuses on directing the implementation of propaganda, education, raising awareness and sense of law compliance for students in schools. Through the integration of formal teaching, creative experiences, extracurricular activities and many other suitable forms, propaganda and education on security, order, school safety, crime prevention and social evils, law violations in the Education sector in general and prevention of school violence and child labor in particular are being promoted with positive results.

Mr. Tran Van Dat also said: The Education sector, together with other departments and sectors, is cooperating, seeking solutions and implementing initiatives to protect children, build a good learning environment, and contribute to the development of society. The contest is an opportunity for each student to show their talent, creativity and awareness in building a good learning environment. At the same time, from the thoughts and perspectives of the students through their creative paintings and writings, we can better understand their wishes and concerns when going to school. The contest also hopes that at school, the students are truly the center, not only in the subjects in class but also in thinking and initiatives from practice.

The contest “Initiatives to ensure school order on preventing school violence and child labor” is a playground for high school students nationwide. The official time is from March 1 to June 30 with 4 rounds (school level; district level; provincial level and national level) with 2 topics: “Preventing school violence” and “Preventing child labor”.

Primary school students draw propaganda posters on A3 paper with no restrictions on colors or materials. Middle school and high school students compete in individual writing competitions, provided that their entries have never been entered in other competitions, have not been published in newspapers, on electronic news sites or on social networks. Entries must be completely handwritten and must not exceed 1,200 words. Each student can only submit one entry; clearly state personal information (on the back of the drawing entry or at the top of the written entry) according to the instructions.

For each round, the prizes at each level (primary, secondary, high school) include 1 first prize, 2 second prizes and 2 third prizes. Depending on the actual conditions, the Organizing Committee of the competition can award additional consolation prizes and secondary prizes (if any).

The award ceremony is expected to take place in June 2024.
