For many reasons, in 2023, some localities and training institutions will not have a need to recruit students for the pedagogical sector.
Recently, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) sent an official dispatch to 16 training institutions regarding the determination of teacher training quotas in 2023. According to the content of the dispatch, the MOET will base on the needs of localities for training teachers at the university and college levels and the training capacity of training institutions to develop a plan to determine training quotas in 2023.
16 training institutions under localities have sent written requests that they have no need to train teachers, or have merged with other training institutions, or have not registered training targets for 2023.
Therefore, the Ministry of Education and Training has no basis to develop a plan to determine enrollment targets for teacher training programs of these institutions according to regulations.
The list of schools is as follows:
According to the 2023 university and college admissions guidelines for preschool education by the Ministry of Education and Training, training institutions with teacher training majors must review and update the system to accurately record the number of teacher training quotas announced by the Ministry.
Teacher training institutions that use high school exam scores for admission must update the admission threshold before 5:00 p.m. on July 26, 2023.
According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, the field of Educational Sciences and university-level teacher training is in the top 10 training fields with the highest enrollment rate in 2022, with an enrollment rate of 5.09%.
