After deducting costs, the hybrid glutinous corn variety ADI 668, grown by the Center for Science and Technology Application and Varieties Testing (Hai Duong Department of Science and Technology) in collaboration with a number of farmers in the spring crop, brought a profit of nearly 100 million VND/ha.
This spring crop, the Center for Science and Technology Application and Varieties Testing built a model for growing hybrid glutinous corn ADI 668 on a scale of 13 hectares, in the communes of Dinh Son (Cam Giang), Cong Hoa (Kim Thanh) and Cong Hoa (Nam Sach).
The results showed that, compared to the control variety HN88, hybrid waxy corn ADI 688 has better lodging resistance, so when there is wind or heavy rain, the plant only tilts, not breaks.
In terms of yield, hybrid glutinous corn ADI 668 reaches about 153 quintals/ha of fresh corn, about 15-16 quintals/ha higher than HN88. After deducting costs, this corn variety gives a profit of nearly 100 million VND/ha, nearly 19 million VND/ha higher than the control variety.
