Hybrid waxy corn variety ADI 668 gives high profit

Compared with the control variety, hybrid waxy corn ADI 668 has many advantages so it has potential when put into mass production.

Through monitoring the spring crop, the economic efficiency of hybrid glutinous corn ADI 668 reached nearly 100 million VND/ha, about 15 million VND/ha higher than the control corn variety HN 88.

That was the result given at the field workshop to evaluate the hybrid waxy corn planting model ADI 668 organized by the Center for Science and Technology Application and Variety Testing (Department of Science and Technology of Hai Duong) on the morning of May 10 in Cam Van commune (Cam Giang).

This spring crop, hybrid glutinous corn variety ADI 668 was planted on an area of 12 hectares in 2 communes Ngu Hung (Thanh Mien), Cam Van (Cam Giang) and Tan Dan ward (Chi Linh) with 59 participating households.

Through monitoring, the germination rate of ADI 668 variety reached 95-98%. Compared with the control variety, this variety was slightly infected with leaf spot and rust diseases.

Hybrid glutinous corn ADI668 has 12-14 rows/ear, ear length reaches 18-20 cm, 36-39 grains/row, yield over 150 tons/ha, 12-17 tons/ha higher than the control corn variety HN88, has a sweet taste and natural aroma.
