On September 27, according to the People's Committee of Tien Phong commune, Que Phong district (Nghe An), a bomb weighing about 200kg was discovered in the area after heavy rain and floods eroded rocks and soil, exposing the bomb.
It is known that at around 6am on September 27, after many days of heavy rain and landslides, people in Muong Him village, Tien Phong commune (Que Phong district) suddenly discovered a "huge" bomb lying exposed in the stream upstream of Cham Bay dam. The bomb was 1.5m long, 40cm in diameter, and weighed about 200kg.
Upon receiving the report from the people, the authorities of Que Phong district arrived to block off the scene, not allowing people to enter the area near the bomb, waiting for the military forces of Nghe An province to handle the situation.
The bomb has been safely handled, neutralized and detonated by Nghe An province military forces.
