On the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons (October 1), leaders of Kim Thanh, Thanh Ha, Thanh Mien districts (Hai Duong) visited and gave gifts to many elderly people in the area.
On the afternoon of September 27, Kim Thanh district established 6 delegations to visit and present gifts to lonely, homeless and disadvantaged elderly people in 18 communes and towns throughout the district. Each gift is worth 1.2 million VND, including 1 million VND in cash and a gift package worth 200,000 VND. Communes and towns in Kim Thanh district also allocated 124 million VND from the Fund for Caring for and Promoting the Role of the Elderly to visit and present more than 870 gifts to lonely and disadvantaged elderly people...
Kim Thanh district currently has 22,709 elderly members, including 6 people over 105 years old, 59 people aged 101-104 and 24 people who are 100 years old.
On September 26 and 27, Thanh Mien district established delegations to visit and present gifts to the elderly in difficult circumstances in the area. On this occasion, the district allocated more than 200 million VND from the Fund for Care and Promotion of the Role of the Elderly and mobilized more than 200 million VND from social resources to present gifts to the elderly in difficult circumstances. In addition, the District Elderly Association coordinated with the District Health Center to visit communes to provide free medical examinations to more than 3,000 elderly members.

On the occasion of the Action Month for the Elderly in Vietnam, the leaders of Thanh Ha district visited and presented 12 gifts (worth 1.2 million VND/gift) to the elderly in need in the district. In addition to the above gifts, the district has allocated the Fund for Caring for and Promoting the Role of the Elderly to present 36 gifts, worth 700,000 VND/gift, to the elderly in need in communes and towns.
On the occasion of the Action Month for the Elderly in Vietnam this year, the Gia Loc District Association of the Elderly coordinated to examine and provide medicine for over 2,000 elderly people in 7 communes and towns.
In October, the District Elderly Association will coordinate to organize medical examinations for the elderly in the remaining 11 communes.
On the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons, October 1, Gia Loc district visited and presented gifts to 9 elderly people in difficult circumstances, each gift worth 1 million VND. The Association of Elderly People in communes and towns also presented 20 gifts/commune to the elderly in difficult circumstances in the locality.
