Phuc Long tea and coffee chain launched a "deal" of buy 1 get 1 free when ordering through the food delivery app. Gong Cha milk tea also has a similar promotion but applies to purchases directly at the store. Koi Thé brand is giving away golden pearls to customers who buy milk tea between 2-5pm today. Clothing, footwear and electronics retailers are also actively participating in this "trend". The Shondo shoe chain is offering a 32% discount until tomorrow. The L'amant Shoemaker brand is also offering a 15% discount on all stores until January 8, and an additional 10% discount for customers with the same name as the Vietnamese player who scored. Many domestic fashion brands are also launching gift giving and discount programs, such as Pierre Cardin shoes offering a 60% discount, while those with the same name as the player who scored last night will receive a discount of up to 70%.

Dien May Xanh chain stores are running promotions of up to 50% off many TV models. Refrigerators are also discounted by up to 10%, up to 1.5 million VND until January 8. Meanwhile, for customers named Viet, Nam, Hai, Long and Son, FPT Shop chain is offering a 25% discount on Oppo Reno13 F phones.

Many other industries have also quickly joined in. Grab app reduced car rides by 50% as soon as the Vietnamese team won the gold cup. Before that, they also promoted grocery shopping and food delivery services on the night of January 5. Similarly, Xanh SM reduced 40%, up to VND50,000, for motorbike and taxi calling services on January 5. Be app reduced motorbike calling fees by half and launched many promotions for food delivery services, especially Thai dishes since last night.

According to the first half of 2024 report of iPOS, a platform providing management solutions for more than 100,000 F&B businesses, about 25% of stores believe that promotions are an effective tool to increase the number of customers coming to the store. Nearly 16% of businesses rate customers as very interested in promotions, showing the attractiveness of these incentives.

iPOS believes that applying promotional programs flexibly and effectively will help businesses increase revenue and strengthen customer loyalty.
