Gasoline prices continue to fall

Domestic gasoline prices continued to decrease from 3 p.m. on March 13, with the highest decrease of more than 750 VND/liter.

According to the decision of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance, the ceiling price of E5RON92 gasoline will be 19,281 VND/liter, down 680 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline will be 19,649 VND/liter, down 753 VND/liter.

In addition, diesel oil is priced at 17,898 VND/liter, down 435 VND/liter; kerosene is down 483 VND/liter to 18,090 VND/liter and fuel oil is down 155 VND, the new price is 16,995 VND/kg.

During this operating period, the inter-ministerial committee did not set aside or use the Price Stabilization Fund for petroleum products.

In the most recent adjustment (March 6), the price of E5 RON92 gasoline decreased by 697 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline decreased by 710 VND/liter; diesel oil decreased by 624 VND/liter; kerosene decreased by 762 VND/liter and fuel oil decreased by 465 VND/kg.

Since February 27, domestic gasoline prices have decreased three times in a row, with the decrease of E5 RON92 gasoline being 1,574 VND/liter and RON95-III gasoline being up to 1,682 VND/liter.

The operator said fuel prices fluctuated last week due to increased oil production from OPEC+ countries, instability in US tax policies on goods from other countries, and the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine...

The above factors have caused the world oil price to fluctuate up and down depending on the product, but the general trend is downward. On average, the price of finished gasoline products decreased by about 4.4 - 4.5% over the past 7 days, and oil decreased by 0.9 - 2.9%. Accordingly, the price of each barrel of RON 95 gasoline decreased to 78.6 USD, diesel oil to 84.3 USD, and fuel oil to 464.8 USD per ton.
