Nam Sach countryside is radiant in welcoming spring

The face of the village is different now.

On the smooth asphalt roads leading to each village in Nam Sach, red flags and flowers were shining to celebrate the New Year.

Standing at Kim Bang bridge in Kim Bang village (Phu Dien commune), one of the longest prestressed bridges in Nam Sach district, many people clearly feel the atmosphere of Tet and spring. Pink flags, red flags with yellow stars, hammer and sickle flags and large and small lanterns hang on both sides of the bridge. Next to it is an ancient banyan tree, a blue river with the Kim Bang village Cultural House also glowing red. Few people know that this spacious and solid 7.5 m wide bridge was just a few years ago built on a broken brick foundation, just over 2 m wide.

The spacious bridge, solid road, and red flags hanging everywhere create a bright and cheerful atmosphere to welcome the spring in Kim Bang village. Mrs. Nguyen Thi Man (73 years old) from Cong Hoa commune (in the same district of Nam Sach) has been a daughter-in-law in Kim Bang village for more than 40 years and has witnessed many changes here.

"The appearance of the countryside is so beautiful now. In just the past few years, the infrastructure here has been invested in, becoming more solid and spacious. Spring has more red flags and flowers, everyone is excited and proud. My children live in the South and only come home for Tet, but every time they come home they are surprised by the rapid changes in their hometown," Ms. Man shared.

Kim Bang is also a smart village of Phu Dien commune in building a model new rural area. This spring, not only Kim Bang village but also other villages in Phu Dien commune have brilliantly welcomed Tet. The large and beautiful Lam Xa village cultural house on the main road has also been hung with flags and flowers, and a large and beautiful New Year signboard from the entrance. This is a newly inaugurated project and is even more meaningful when it was built from 1.2 billion VND entirely donated by the people and socialized sources.

In Nam Sach today, the roads, schools, and houses have a new, beautiful appearance and are even more brilliant when decorated to welcome spring. That is An Lam commune with beautiful flower roads, Nam Tan commune with smart villages, Nam Trung commune has also completed a spacious main road. Many roads into the villages and alleys in Nam Sach countryside have been decorated with bright spring colors.

More joy in the new countryside

Up to now, Nam Sach district has 3 communes Phu Dien, Nam Tan, An Lam that have completed the criteria for model new rural areas. 10 communes have met the advanced new rural standards. Of which, Hop Tien commune has completed the criteria for advanced new rural areas and is waiting for the provincial level to assess. Visiting Hop Tien on the days before Tet, some villages are rushing to pour concrete on village roads and alleys to welcome spring. Many people also come out to contribute to the work. Children happily play on the newly poured concrete road, wider and more beautiful than their yard, which was just a tiny, dirty, wet road the day before.

The atmosphere of celebrating the Party and spring in Hop Tien came even earlier and more brilliantly as this is where the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee and Nam Sach District Party Committee were established. Since January, the commune has hung 180 red flags, 90 Party flags, national flags and 7 banners on the main road. From the entrance gate of the commune, the LED screen has displayed the words "Hop Tien Commune - Heroic Unit of the People's Armed Forces welcomes the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and celebrates the spring of Giap Thin 2024".

According to Mr. Le Van Hung, a cultural officer of Hop Tien commune, cultural, information and propaganda work in the commune is carried out regularly, especially in revolutionary rural areas during the occasion of celebrating the Party and celebrating spring.

"The organization of propaganda to serve political activities and major anniversaries is of great concern. Every year, the commune puts up hundreds of banners, signs, and content on electronic boards to serve propaganda. The focus is on the occasion of celebrating the founding day of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the New Year. This year, the joy of the new spring of the people in the commune is even greater because the commune has completed the criteria for advanced new rural areas with many criteria that directly improve people's lives," said Mr. Hung.

In the commune that has just received the decision to recognize Dong Lac as meeting advanced new rural standards and many other communes, people are also excited to clean up the village roads and alleys, and decorate them brightly to welcome spring.

Mr. Mac Van Tuan, Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Nam Sach district, said that recently, 5 communes of the district have received the decision of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee recognizing them as advanced new rural areas, creating joy and excitement among the people. This achievement is even more meaningful during the Tet holiday.

With the joy of the new advanced rural area, the new model rural area, the spring in Nam Sach village on the occasion of the Giap Thin New Year this year is even more brilliant, exciting and promises to be the premise to continue to stimulate the development momentum in these potential villages.
