On the morning of May 1 (April 1 of the lunar calendar), the Phuong Quat family national relic, Lac Long commune (Kinh Mon) opened its traditional festival.
The people of Phuong Quat village still maintain the custom of each clan and family taking turns offering flowers and incense to the communal house to commemorate the merits of the village's tutelary god.
This year, the festival was held again after a 2-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Many people and children living far away from home returned to attend the village's traditional festival.

Phuong Quat Communal House worships Tran Thuy Hong, a female general of Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan. During the second resistance war against the Yuan-Mongol army (1285), after winning the battle, female general Tran Thuy Hong, her older brother and younger brother returned to their hometown to hold a banquet to celebrate the victory at the banyan tree of Phuong Quat village. During the third resistance war against the Yuan-Mongol army (1287 - 1288), all three brothers were sent to fight the final battle at Bach Dang River (Quang Ninh). During the battle, female general Tran Thuy Hong was injured, retreated to Lac Long commune and died there.
Phuong Quat Communal House was ranked as a national monument in 2007.
People take the 1st of the 4th lunar month every year as the death anniversary of female general Tran Thuy Hong and her brother, and also the day to hold the village festival.
Behind the communal house is the tomb of the village's tutelary god. The site still preserves some valuable antiques such as a wooden scroll painted in red and gilded during the Nguyen Dynasty, a stone basin (a type of low, cylindrical basin with a wide mouth, often used by ancient people to hold water) erected in 1821, 4 stone steles... Phuong Quat communal house was ranked as a national monument in 2007.
