National hero Khuc Thua Du was the one who initiated the country's independence, ending more than 1,000 years of our nation being dominated by Northern feudalism. Taking advantage of the weakening of the Tang Dynasty, he led troops to attack Tong Binh Palace (Dai La) and proclaimed himself the Governor, rising up to rule the country.
After Khuc Thua Du died, his son Khuc Hao took power and implemented many important reforms, contributing to the stability and development of the country. After Khuc Hao died, his son Khuc Thua My took over. Due to the strength of the Southern Han invaders, Khuc Thua My was defeated.
Khuc Thua Du Temple was ranked as a national historical and cultural relic on July 8, 2014.
