On March 19, the People's Committee of Nghia An commune, Ninh Giang district (Hai Duong) organized the opening ceremony of Trinh Xuyen communal house and announced the decision to recognize Trinh Xuyen communal house as a national historical-cultural relic as a tourist destination.
Trinh Xuyen Communal House Festival takes place over 4 days from March 18-21. The ceremony includes a ceremony to worship the gods, the Ngoc Lo procession, the festival opening, the announcement of the provincial People's Committee's decision to recognize Trinh Xuyen Communal House, Nghia An Commune as a national historical-cultural relic as a tourist destination, and an incense offering ceremony. The festival includes cultural exchanges, clay cannon competitions, volleyball competitions, tug-of-war competitions, etc. This year, the festival organizing committee has organized many activities to promote local tourist destinations.
Trinh Xuyen Communal House worships the village's tutelary god Vu Duc Phong, a general of the Tran Dynasty who helped King Tran Nghe Tong fight the Champa invaders to protect the country's borders and was awarded the title of Dao Quang Minh Si Dai Vuong.
In 2015, Trinh Xuyen communal house was recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage. The communal house was ranked as a national architectural and artistic relic in 1992.
