After conducting a series of airstrikes on Hezbollah targets on the morning of September 23, the Israeli Army announced that they are preparing for the next phase of the campaign in Lebanon.
Reuters reported that Israel's Chief of Staff (IDF) Herzi Halevi announced that Israel is preparing for the next phase of its campaign in Lebanon, after conducting a series of airstrikes on Hezbollah targets on the morning of September 23.
"We are targeting the combat infrastructure that Hezbollah has built over the past 20 years. This is very important. We are hitting targets and preparing for the next stages," said Mr. Halevi.
However, he did not reveal details about Israel's upcoming plans.
Earlier, the Israeli military said its airstrikes on September 23 hit more than 1,300 Hezbollah targets in Lebanon within 24 hours.
Meanwhile, a Lebanese government source said Israeli airstrikes on its territory have killed at least 492 people and injured at least 1,645 others. This is the bloodiest attack since the Gaza war broke out last October.
As the latest developments in the Middle East threaten to push the entire region into a full-scale war, Arab and Muslim countries on September 23 called on the international community, especially influential countries, and the United Nations to intervene immediately to prevent the conflict from escalating into a broader war.
