Honda Motor Company has registered an industrial design copyright for a new scooter model in Vietnam.
The National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam has just announced a series of new industrial designs registered in October. Notably, among these appeared a new scooter model copyrighted by Honda Motor Company.
Registration documents show that this model is the Honda BeAT 110. Earlier in early June, the Japanese motorcycle joint venture Astra Honda Motor in Indonesia officially launched the upgraded version of the Honda BeAT 2024 in this country's market.
The car has 4 versions including CBS, Deluxe, Street and Deluxe Smart Key with listed prices ranging from 18.43 - 19.83 million Rp (about 29 - 31.5 million VND).
The Honda BeAT 2024 has a sporty design, quite similar to the Vario model currently sold in Vietnam but more compact. The vehicle has overall dimensions of 1,876 x 669 x 1,080 mm, a wheelbase of 1,255 mm, a ground clearance of 148 mm, a saddle height of 742 mm and weighs only 87 kg.
In the Indonesian market, the Honda BeAT 2024 uses a 110cc eSP engine with PGM-FI fuel injection system, producing 8.9 horsepower and maximum torque of 9.2 Nm.
The scooter is equipped with an idle/start system (ISS), ACG starter, disc brakes combined with CBS to help distribute braking force and operate more safely.
Some other outstanding features include Smartkey, anti-theft alarm system, small LCD screen next to the traditional analog clock, USB charging socket, hook under the handlebars, side stand with sensor to turn off the engine when lowered, rear brake lock lever...
Although not officially distributed in Vietnam, Honda BeAT has been present in the domestic market for many years through private importers.
Recently, an imported motorbike shop in Ho Chi Minh City has advertised for sale the BeAT 110 2024 model imported from Indonesia for about 35 million VND.
