Today, June 25, the National Assembly does personnel work and discusses salary reform.

From 11am this morning, the National Assembly will meet separately on personnel work under its authority.

The Standing Committee of the National Assembly submits to the National Assembly a list of nominees for the National Assembly to elect members of the Standing Committee of the 15th National Assembly.

Along with that, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly presented to the National Assembly the matter of terminating the duties of the 15th National Assembly deputies. Afterwards, the National Assembly deputies returned to the delegation to discuss this content.

In the afternoon, the National Assembly continued to do personnel work.

The Secretary General of the National Assembly presented a report summarizing the opinions discussed at the National Assembly delegation on the list of nominees for the National Assembly to elect members of the Standing Committee of the 15th National Assembly and the dismissal of deputies from the 15th National Assembly.

The Standing Committee of the National Assembly reports to the National Assembly on the explanation and acceptance of opinions of National Assembly deputies discussed in groups.

The National Assembly discussed and voted to approve the list by secret ballot.

Then, the National Assembly discussed and voted to pass the Resolution on electing members of the Standing Committee of the 15th National Assembly; and dismissing the duties of deputies of the 15th National Assembly.

Also this afternoon, the National Assembly listened to Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra, authorized by the Prime Minister, present the Government's report on salary reform; adjustment of pensions, social insurance benefits, preferential benefits for people with meritorious services and social benefits from July 1, 2024.

After that, Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Committee on Social Affairs Nguyen Thuy Anh will present a report on the review of salary reform contents; adjustment of pensions, social insurance benefits, preferential benefits for people with meritorious services and social benefits from July 1, 2024.

National Assembly delegates will discuss in groups about the above contents.

Previously, on June 19, the Politburo agreed to let Mr. Dinh Tien Dung stop participating in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, stop holding the position of Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, and Head of the 15th National Assembly Delegation of Hanoi City.

On June 21, the Party Central Committee met and agreed to let Mr. Dinh Tien Dung resign from his position as Politburo member and member of the 13th Party Central Committee.
