On May 20, the Kim Thanh District Veterans Association coordinated to hand over a "comradely love" house to the family of veteran Bui Duy Hien (in Bang Lai village, Ngu Phuc commune).
Mr. Hien’s family house was in disrepair, the walls were peeling and the roof was leaking. The district Veterans Association supported his family with 30 million VND to repair the house.
In 2024, the Kim Thanh District Veterans Association launched a campaign for each cadre and member to save 36,000 VND to support the fund for building "comradely love" houses. The district strives to build 4 houses and repair 2 houses for members with housing difficulties. Along with Mr. Hien's family's house, so far, the Kim Thanh District Veterans Association has supported the repair of 2 houses, each house costing 30 million VND.
Support for building and repairing houses for members will be completed before December 6, creating an achievement to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Veterans Association (December 6, 1989 - December 6, 2024).
