Hai Duong City has completed 2 out of 9 packages of the Dynamic Urban Development Project. The city is focusing on implementing the remaining 7 packages.
According to the Management Board of the Integrated Development Project of Dynamic Urban Areas of Hai Duong City, by the end of May, 2 out of 9 packages of the project had been completed. That is the package to complete the infrastructure of Nguyen Luong Bang Street and Thanh Binh Street, and the embankment of T1 Canal. The City People's Committee has reported to the State Appraisal Department on the quality of construction works for acceptance.
Currently, Hai Duong City is focusing on implementing the remaining 7 packages, of which 5 packages basically meet the schedule. These are the construction of 22 wastewater pumping stations (90% completed), the construction of a wastewater collection system connecting households in the area north of Nguyen Luong Bang Street to Thai Binh River (80% completed), the construction of a wastewater collection system connecting households for the remaining areas in the west of the city (80% completed), the embankment of Bach Dang River (33% completed), the construction of a wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 12,000 m3/day and night (reaching 20% of volume).
The two packages that are not on schedule are the construction of the Lo Cuong pumping station and the construction of the drainage system north of the railway. The reason is due to problems with investment preparation procedures, site clearance, and land treatment... According to the plan, the construction package of the Lo Cuong pumping station must be completed by the end of May, but so far it has only reached 60% of the volume. Hai Duong City reported to the Provincial People's Committee to extend the contract until next November. The construction package of the drainage system north of the railway according to the contract must be completed by mid-June. However, some items in the package are behind schedule.
The Hai Duong City Dynamic Urban Development Project has a total investment capital of about 1,774 billion VND from the World Bank's convertible loan and the province's counterpart capital. The entire project must be completed in 2025. After completion, the project will contribute to overcoming the flooding situation in the western area of the city...
