According to information from Ho Chi Minh City National University, in 2023, many member schools of Ho Chi Minh City National University will open a number of new training majors. In particular, An Giang University will enroll two new majors: Food Quality Assurance and Safety, and Veterinary Medicine. International University will add new majors, including: Data Analysis in Economics and Applied Statistics.

This year, in addition to the familiar training majors associated with the school's brand, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics enrolls students in a series of new training majors associated with the labor market in the digital age, including: Financial Technology, Technology Marketing, Digital Business, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, Logistics Technology and a number of new dual degree training programs such as: Political Economy - Law and Local Administration, Business Accounting - Tax; Business English - Tourism Management.

Having just officially changed its name, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (formerly Ho Chi Minh City University of Food Industry) has opened new training majors, including: E-commerce, Financial Technology, Data Science. Cuu Long University (located in Vinh Long province) has new training majors such as Economic Management, Aviation Service Management, Industrial Fine Arts. Lac Hong University (located in Dong Nai province) has opened a number of new training majors in 2023 such as Multimedia Communications, Artificial Intelligence, International Business, contributing to meeting the human resource needs of the Southern key economic region as well as the domestic and international labor market.

In direct admissions consulting programs at schools as well as through channels and media, experts, managers, and representatives of the admissions department of each school all note that candidates need to clearly understand the prescribed time frames for registration, adjustment of wishes, confirmation of admission, etc. so as not to miss the opportunity to be admitted as desired.

According to Dr. Vo Thanh Hai, Vice President of Duy Tan University: This year, the time for candidates to register their wishes is shorter than last year, from July 10 to 5:00 p.m. on July 30, candidates can register, adjust, and add wishes without being limited to the number of changes. Candidates who have participated in early admission and have received notice of meeting the early admission score requirements must still register their wishes on the Ministry of Education and Training's Admissions Portal according to regulations.

Regarding the selection of majors and schools in the application process, many admissions experts emphasize: In the "sprint" stage of applying for admission to universities and colleges, candidates need to consider once again to choose to enroll in a major and school that is suitable for their learning ability, their own interests as well as the ability, health conditions, and finances of the candidate and his/her family.
