Ministry of Education and Training requests review of admission combination and methods

The Ministry of Education and Training requires educational institutions to review the subject combinations and admission methods, and to select subject combinations based on the requirements of basic knowledge and core competencies that candidates need to have to study.

Universities will be required to review admission combinations that do not include major subjects.

Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son said he will ask universities to review the construction of admission combinations that are not suitable for the field of study.

Currently, 97 universities and academies use the results of the Hanoi National University's Competency Assessment exam for admission in 2025.
