Affirming the quality of education in the East

Implementing the motto "Every teacher is a model of self-study and creativity", many managers and teachers have become exemplary role models, always leading by example, devoted to the cause of education, trusted by colleagues, students, and loved by parents.

Dr. Trinh Ngoc Tung, Principal of Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted (Hai Duong City) is a typical example. With more than 30 years of experience in the education sector, Mr. Tung is dedicated, creative, bold in innovation, promoting the tradition of studiousness of the Eastern region to put Hai Duong in the top of the country in terms of the quality of national excellent students.

In 1993, after graduating from Hanoi Pedagogical University, Mr. Tung taught at Gia Loc High School. In 1998, Mr. Tung transferred to Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted and has been there until now.

Over the past 10 years, Hai Duong’s national excellent student exam results have always been in the top position nationwide, with 4 years having students winning regional and international prizes. In recent years, the school’s high school graduation exam quality has always been at the top of the province; 100% of high school graduates have been admitted to universities.

In the spirit of fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training, in recent years, Mr. Tung and the school have promoted the movement of innovation and creativity in teaching. The movement is maintained regularly and starts from small things, taking place every day, encouraging the spirit of both teachers and students, helping teachers and students to be more active, have a deeper understanding of society, students have the opportunity to show their talents and improve themselves; teachers are self-motivated and voluntarily innovate.

To improve the quality of high school graduation exams for students, in the 2023-2024 school year, Mr. Tung has tightened discipline and order; guided students to use their phones for the right purposes so that they can focus on studying, acquire comprehensive knowledge, and improve their social communication skills; assigned high school graduation exam quality targets to each teacher; and provided career guidance for students through separate exams for university admission. As a result, in 2024, the school's average graduation exam score reached the highest in the past 5 years.

In order to create more strength in improving the quality of key education in the province, Mr. Tung has made significant contributions in advising on the promulgation of preferential policies for school managers, teachers and students; investing in the construction of the Hai Duong Provincial Center for Training Excellent Students...

With his dedicated efforts, Mr. Tung was awarded the title of Excellent Teacher by the President in 2023. Mr. Tung has had 13 initiatives and scientific research topics at all levels; trained 13 students to win national science and technology awards; 8 scientific articles were published in domestic and international journals; 20 times won the title of emulation fighter at the provincial and grassroots levels; 3 times received certificates of merit from the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the Provincial People's Committee; 10 times received medals, commemorative medals, and certificates of merit at all levels.

From 2015 to present, Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted has continuously completed its tasks excellently, and has been awarded many excellent emulation flags and certificates of merit by the Government, Prime Minister, and Provincial People's Committee.

Innovation, creativity

After 30 years of working in the education sector of Chi Linh City, Master Nguyen Thi Quyen, Vice Principal of Chu Van An Primary School (Chi Linh City) has also devoted herself wholeheartedly to the quality of education for students.

After graduating in 1994, Ms. Quyen taught at Dong Lac Primary School (Chi Linh City). From 2003 to 2017, she worked as a teacher and manager at Sao Do 1 Primary School and Hoa Tham Primary School. In 2017, Ms. Quyen moved to Chu Van An Primary School and has been working there until now.

During all those years of working, whether as a teacher or a manager, Ms. Quyen has always been attentive, dedicated to her work, innovative, and creative with the goal of improving the quality of education for students. She also does not hesitate to volunteer to go to schools with limited educational quality to train, innovate, and improve the quality of education there.

Ms. Quyen said that in the first years of working at Dong Lac Primary School, the facilities and teaching equipment were very lacking, and information technology was not yet developed. To improve the quality of teaching, in addition to researching teaching methods and content, Ms. Quyen also designed many teaching devices such as magic discs to teach math and Vietnamese; maps of battles to teach history, maps to teach geography for grades 4 and 5. Ms. Quyen's teaching devices were applied in teaching at the school and participated in the district-level teaching device competition and won high prizes.

With the view that "Teaching is not about filling an empty barrel but lighting up the flames of passion", Ms. Quyen is always close, using teaching methods to promote students' abilities to help them be confident and actively learn. Ms. Quyen is always at the forefront, creative in implementing the new general education program 2018. In management, Ms. Quyen is always close to all activities, leading by example, standing side by side with teachers to overcome all difficulties to complete tasks well, creating a united and strong collective.

From 2019 to present, together with the school's staff and leaders, Ms. Quyen has contributed to helping Chu Van An Primary School continuously achieve many high achievements. Thereby continuing to affirm the school's educational quality as the leading flag of the city.
