Meritorious Teacher Nguyen Huu Gioi has many effective initiatives.

Born and raised in Thanh Mien district, from a young age, Mr. Nguyen Huu Gioi (born in 1979) was passionate about studying and math. Graduated from Hanoi National University of Education in 2001 with a major in math pedagogy, Mr. Gioi has been teaching at Thanh Mien High School until now.

Over the past 23 years, Mr. Gioi has continuously researched, learned, and passionately researched to find appropriate and creative teaching methods that promote students' positivity and abilities.

From 2014 to present, Mr. Gioi has had 10 initiatives and scientific research topics recognized at the grassroots and provincial levels. A typical initiative is "Guiding students to develop math problem-solving skills through applying the technique of combining variables in the problem of finding the largest and smallest values ​​of multi-variable expressions". This initiative has been effectively applied in reviewing for provincial-level excellent student exams at the school and many other schools in the province. In addition, 3 schools outside the province including Tu Son High School (Bac Giang), Minh Ha High School (Quang Ninh) and Dong Hoa High School (Hai Phong City) have applied it and it has been evaluated to bring practical results.

“This initiative helps students become interested, proactive and active in learning; at the same time, it creates conditions for teachers to discover and nurture students with talent and passion for learning math, and guides them in their ability to self-study and research,” said Mr. Gioi.

As a homeroom teacher, Mr. Gioi always cares about helping students with difficulties and discovering each student's abilities. In particular, Mr. Gioi has trained many students to become excellent students at the provincial level; taught review lessons for students participating in university entrance exams and high school graduation exams with high results; helped and trained many teachers to become excellent teachers at all levels.

Mr. Gioi's contributions have helped Thanh Mien High School become one of the top high schools in the province in terms of educational quality. The high school graduation rate is always 100%, the university entrance exam rate is always 90% or higher, the school's excellent student team has ranked first in the province for many years.

With his experience and high professional reputation, Mr. Gioi has been assigned by the Department of Education and Training of Hai Duong to participate in important professional activities many times such as: judge of the provincial excellent student exam for grades 9, 10, 12; judge of the provincial excellent homeroom teacher exam for high school; create questions for the provincial excellent student exam and entrance exam for grade 10 of Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted; create questions for the recruitment exam for civil servants in the provincial education sector; member of the Scientific Council for evaluating initiatives of the Department of Education and Training of Hai Duong; key teacher of the Department of Education and Training of Hai Duong participating in training modules of the 2018 general education program and participating in training for high school teachers of the province; member of the Council for selecting math textbooks of the province.

For many years, Mr. Gioi has received certificates of merit from the Minister of Education and Training, the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Committee of Hai Duong province; and certificates of merit from the Department of Education and Training, Thanh Mien district. Notably, in the 2023-2024 school year, Mr. Gioi was awarded the title of Excellent Teacher and National Emulation Fighter.
