US Ambassador to Vietnam Marc E. Knapper said that the IAPP demonstrates the US commitment within the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
“Expanding educational partnerships is a key element to the success of the US-Vietnam relationship. By connecting the top universities in both countries, we are opening up new opportunities for students and researchers to thrive,” said Mr. Knapper.
In the 2023-2024 school year, more than 30,000 Vietnamese students will study in the US, contributing more than $1 billion to the country's economy. Jason Czyz, President of the Institute of International Education, said that researchers from the two countries can collaborate in many STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) fields and develop training programs.
