With the participation of all levels and sectors in the province, Hai Duong strives to complete housing support for meritorious people and the poor by 2025.
On the morning of November 26, the Steering Committee for the implementation of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Hai Duong province held a meeting to deploy tasks.
Comrade Tran Duc Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee chaired the meeting.
At the meeting, Mr. Luu Van Ban, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, said that through initial screening, Hai Duong has 2,963 households of people with revolutionary contributions and martyrs' relatives in need of housing support (including 1,632 households building new houses and 1,331 households repairing); 1,273 poor and near-poor households in need of housing support (including 686 households building new houses and 587 households repairing).
Hai Duong plans to provide 80 million VND/newly built house and 40 million VND/repaired house. The goal is to complete housing support for people with revolutionary contributions, relatives of martyrs, and poor and near-poor households with housing difficulties by the end of 2025.
Concluding the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang affirmed that with the participation of the province, departments and branches, Hai Duong strives to complete the goal of providing housing support for 100% of people with revolutionary contributions, relatives of martyrs in need, poor and near-poor households with temporary houses and dilapidated houses in the province by 2025.
The Provincial Party Secretary requested that departments, branches and localities must immediately take action to review and complete data on the number of households with meritorious services to the revolution, relatives of martyrs, poor and near-poor households in need of housing support. Ensure full and correct identification of beneficiaries, and avoid providing support to the wrong beneficiaries. It is necessary to plan appropriate levels of support to ensure the construction of the best houses for the people.
Regarding implementation costs, it is necessary to prioritize the central budget support, specifically 80% of the construction cost based on the support level of 60 million VND/new house and 30 million VND/repaired house. Next, take the source from the "Repaying gratitude" Fund, the "For the poor" Fund of the province that already exists and will exist in the near future. The remaining part is supported by the provincial budget.
Regarding the method of organization, it is possible to let the people build, the authorities support the funding according to regulations and closely monitor. In addition, the police, military, and local organizations need to join hands to support the workdays...
At the meeting, delegates unanimously approved the Regulations on organization and operation of the Steering Committee for the implementation of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Hai Duong province.
PVOver the past 10 years, in Hai Duong, 11,755 households of people with revolutionary contributions and martyrs' relatives have received housing support, with a total cost of more than 395.5 billion VND; 2,696 poor, near-poor, and households with housing difficulties have received housing support, with a total cost of more than 99 billion VND.
