Hai Duong supports up to 500 million VND for doctors to work at public health facilities

The People's Council of Hai Duong province has passed a Resolution promulgating regulations on policies to support training, attract and treat medical human resources at public agencies and units under the province's management for the period 2025-2030.

Accordingly, Hai Duong implements a policy to support updating medical knowledge, university and postgraduate training from 70-100% of the cost. For those who receive a postgraduate diploma, they are supported with one-time research and study costs from 30-100 million VND/person/course.

Regarding the policy of attracting doctors to work in public agencies and units under the management of the province, the support level is from 150-500 million VND/person. In which, the highest support level is 500 million VND for PhDs, specialist II doctors working in the specialties of psychiatry, pathology, forensic medicine, forensic psychiatry, infectious diseases, and emergency resuscitation.

Hai Duong implements a preferential treatment regime for doctors working at health stations with a monthly support level of 20% of current salary (including salary scale, position allowance, seniority allowance exceeding the framework) for doctors working at commune health stations and 15% of salary when working at ward and town health stations.

The Resolution takes effect from January 1, 2025.
