The dialysis system at medical facilities in Hai Duong has not yet met the needs of patients.

Six medical facilities in Hai Duong currently have artificial kidney departments or units, including: Hai Duong General Hospital, Military Hospital 7 and Medical Centers of Ninh Giang and Gia Loc districts, Kinh Mon town, Hai Duong city.

According to the reporter's investigation, the number of dialysis machines at the above facilities currently only meets a part of the needs of patients. Hai Duong General Hospital currently has 38 machines, providing periodic dialysis for about 200 outpatients (not including emergency and inpatient patients). Currently, there are about 30 patients who have registered for periodic dialysis but have not been arranged for machines.

Gia Loc District Medical Center and Kinh Mon Town Medical Center both have 15 machines, providing periodic blood filtration for 90-95 patients, while the actual demand is over 200 people. Hai Duong City Medical Center has 16 machines, currently providing periodic blood filtration for about 90 patients, while the actual demand is 215 people... Although medical facilities have operated 3-4 shifts/day, they still cannot meet all the demand. Many patients have to go to other provinces for blood filtration.

The Department of Health is requesting units to review the current situation and needs of patients with end-stage chronic kidney failure, with indications for periodic dialysis, to advise the Provincial People's Committee on a plan to arrange machinery and human resources to promptly serve the increasing needs of patients.
