Hanoi bans construction of buildings higher than 9 floors in inner city

According to Hanoi City's architectural management regulations, there are many areas in the inner city where high-rise buildings are not allowed to be built.

The Hanoi People's Committee has just held a conference to announce the Hanoi Architecture Management Regulations and the Hanoi Urban Development Program for the period up to 2035.

Hanoi's architectural management regulations, which took effect on January 10, have separate regulations on high-rise buildings in historic inner-city areas.

According to the regulations, high-rise buildings are buildings with 9 floors or more. The historical inner city area has administrative boundaries within the boundaries of 5 districts: Ba Dinh, Dong Da, Hoan Kiem, a northern part of Hai Ba Trung district and a southern part of Tay Ho district.

Accordingly, Hanoi allows research on the construction of high-rise buildings on both sides of belt roads, radial streets, main streets and in urban highlight areas.

The architectural management regulations have specific regulations on space management for high-rise buildings, clearly stating areas where high-rise buildings are not allowed to be built.

Specifically, with Ring Road 1, no high-rise buildings will be built within the premises of Thu Le Park and Thong Nhat Park.

Do not build high-rise buildings, ensure safety of clearance height of the existing airport area on Truong Chinh Street (from the intersection with Khuong Thuong to the intersection with Le Trong Tan).

Do not build high-rise buildings, study and preserve the landscape of West Lake area and around the area west of Au Co street (from the intersection with Lac Long Quan street to the intersection with Xuan Dieu street).

No more high-rise buildings will be built in the western area of ​​Yen Phu Street, Tran Nhat Duat - Tran Quang Khai Street (from the intersection with Hang Dau Street to the intersection with Lo Su Street).

Do not build high-rise buildings on the west side of Tran Quang Khai Street (from the intersection with Le Phung Hieu Street to the intersection with Trang Tien Street).

For the area on both sides of the radial street, no high-rise buildings will be built on Giang Vo street from the intersection with Nguyen Thai Hoc street to the intersection with Cat Linh street. For the land plots adjacent to the red line at the Cat Linh - Giang Vo intersection: Research on building high-rise buildings with a maximum height of 21 floors/76m. At the location of the Giang Vo exhibition center, research on building high-rise buildings as a highlight.

Do not build high-rise buildings on green land and sports facilities as prescribed in the urban subdivision planning H1-2 on Van Cao street (from the intersection with West Lake road to the intersection with Hoang Hoa Tham street), Ton Duc Thang street (from the intersection with Nguyen Thai Hoc street to the intersection with alley 221 Ton Duc Thang), Le Duan street (from the intersection with Kham Thien street to the intersection with Xa Dan street).

For the area on both sides of the main street, no high-rise buildings are built on Hang Dau, Phan Dinh Phung, and Hoang Hoa Tham streets (from the intersection with Hung Vuong street to the intersection with Ngoc Ha street).

On Lo Duc street, no high-rise buildings will be built. For land plots adjacent to the red line at the intersection with Tran Khat Chan street - Ring Road 1, research on building high-rise buildings in compliance with regulations.

Lang Fort extension also does not build high-rise buildings. For land plots adjacent to the red line at the intersection with main streets, research on building high-rise buildings in compliance with regulations.

On Chua Boc Street, no high-rise buildings will be built. As for the plots of land adjacent to the red line at the intersection with main streets, research on building high-rise buildings in compliance with regulations.

Pham Ngoc Thach and Ton That Tung streets also do not have high-rise buildings. For land plots adjacent to red lines at intersections with main streets and beltways, research on building high-rise buildings in compliance with regulations.

Hanoi also regulates not to build high-rise buildings on Doi Can street (from the intersection with lane 210 Doi Can to the intersection with Ngoc Ha street).
