On Truong Chinh Street (Dong Da District, Hanoi) there are dozens of houses with strange shapes but still have many customers renting and buying.
Truong Chinh Street, Nga Tu So - Nga Tu Vong section of Ring Road 2, nearly 2km long, started construction in October 2013 with a total investment of VND2,560 billion (about VND1.5 billion/m). This road is likened to a "soft curve", with a scale of 5 lanes in each direction and an elevated road exclusively for cars.
After the road was completed, many houses that were previously in the alley were cleared out, causing many houses with super thin, strangely distorted designs to appear on Truong Chinh Street. But it is worth mentioning that the selling or renting prices are not cheap.
A super thin house in lane 5, Truong Chinh street with a frontage of about 5m and a depth of about 1m is being offered for sale at 2.10 billion VND, for rent at 12 million VND/month.
Looking from the outside, many people mistake this house for just a wall of alley 5.
The thinnest wall of the house is only about 0.5m wide.
Many people living nearby said that although this super thin house has a limited area, the wide frontage is very suitable for those who want to run a coffee shop, tea shop or sidewalk food stall.
Not far away, a super thin house at 268 Truong Chinh also has a frontage of about 5m and a depth of more than 1m.
Although the area is very narrow, in return the frontage is wide, located in a beautiful street position so it is still rented out for customers to do business.
A super thin house near Nga Tu So has an area of about 6m2 with a wide frontage and limited depth, used as a premises for food business, the rental price of this house is about 6 - 8 million VND/month.
A house at Nga Tu So with a small area, the owner had to expand the space on the second floor by nearly 1 meter.
After 2 years of completion, Truong Chinh Street still has some houses from small alleys facing the street and are in disarray and have not been renovated.
A row of super-thin houses is being used as business premises.
A sugarcane juice shop has an indoor area that is only large enough to accommodate a bar counter, and must use the sidewalk outside for seating for customers.
Many super distorted, strangely shaped floors surprise passersby
