Gia Loc district leaders give gifts to children in difficult circumstances
On the afternoon of May 30, Gia Loc district launched the Month of Action for Children and Summer Festival, launching the 2023 summer volunteer campaign.
To effectively implement the Month of Action for Children, Gia Loc District continues to encourage children to be proactive, positive, and confident in participating in family, school, and social activities. All levels, sectors, and parents listen, consider, and respond to children's opinions, and propose appropriate solutions to ensure children have a safe and healthy life. The District strives for all children to receive health care, medical examination and treatment when sick, and to limit malnutrition; children in difficult circumstances, poor children, orphans, and disabled children receive adequate care.
Representatives of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Hai Duong presented gifts to disadvantaged children in Gia Loc district.
With the theme "Happy, safe summer, youth volunteering, creativity for community life, pioneering in digital transformation", this summer, the district strives for 100% of communes and towns to organize cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities, with at least 4 collective activities such as camps, sports tournaments, art exchanges, and team etiquette competitions. Gather at least 80% of the youth in the area to participate in summer activities. 100% of communes and towns will put up additional warning signs for drowning; promote prevention of drowning, injuries, and child abuse. Organize at least 5 skill classes on martial arts, soccer, swimming, badminton, chess, etc. for youth; examine, advise and give free medicine to people; build works, undertake youth work. District level builds youth works for "team members' shelters", voluntary blood donation, etc.
