Nearly 100 auctioned land lots in Bac Giang had deposits worth tens of billions of dong forfeited

90 auctioned lots in Tan Yen, Lang Giang, and Hiep Hoa districts of Bac Giang have reached the deadline for paying land use fees, but customers have abandoned their deposits, amounting to tens of billions of dong.

Bac Giang Provincial Tax Department recently informed that in the 10 months of 2023, localities in the province organized 92 land auctions with a total of 2,969 lots, the total land use fee collection in the province reached 3,870 billion VND, equal to nearly 65% ​​of the annual plan. However, after reviewing, up to now, there are 90 auctioned lots that have reached the deadline for paying land use fees but customers have abandoned their deposits.

The lots with abandoned deposits are concentrated in Tan Yen, Lang Giang, and Hiep Hoa districts. Of which, the total winning bid for 90 lots is over VND88.3 billion, the deposit is nearly VND10 billion.

According to the representative of the Lang Giang - Luc Nam Tax Department, up to now, the whole district has 14 auctioned lots that have been abandoned in the residential area of ​​Chua village, Xuan Huong commune. The auction winning amount of these lots is more than 22 billion VND, an increase of more than 10 billion VND compared to the starting price. The deposit amount is more than 1.7 billion VND. Among the abandoned lots, many are in beautiful locations, in residential areas that have been invested in complete infrastructure of electricity, water, and convenient transportation.

The total auction price of 90 land lots in Bac Giang is more than 88.3 billion VND, the deposit is nearly 10 billion VND.

In Tan Yen district, 12 auctions were held with 513 lots having winning bid decisions. Of these, 378 lots had customers paying land use fees on time; 64 lots were overdue but the auction winners had not paid the money to the state budget; some remaining lots had not yet expired to pay the auction winning bid. The deposit amount was more than 6.5 billion VND.

According to this unit, from now until the end of the year, districts in Bac Giang province with abandoned lots will continue to organize auctions to increase land use fees.

Many brokers said that along with the bustling land auctions in Bac Giang, the situation of deposit cancellations also occurred quite a lot. The proof is that in the same period last year, the whole Lang Giang district organized an auction of 612 residential land lots with a total winning price of more than 1 trillion VND.

However, after checking, among the auctioned land lots, there were 59 lots in the communes of Quang Thinh, Dai Lam, My Ha, An Ha and Voi town that had reached the deadline for paying the auctioned land use fee but the customers did not pay tens of billions of dong.

Many brokers said that along with the bustling land auctions in Bac Giang, the situation of deposit cancellations also occurred quite a lot.

In particular, in Quang Thinh commune, there were 23 lots that were won with a total amount of nearly 43 billion VND, but by the "final" deadline, customers did not pay the land use fee as prescribed; in Voi town, there were 17 lots that had their deposits forfeited, with a winning price of nearly 47 billion VND.

In other localities such as Hiep Hoa district, in the 10 months of 2022, 57 lots were abandoned by customers after winning the auction, with a deposit of nearly 6.8 billion VND. Viet Yen district has 755 auctioned lots, of which 104 lots were abandoned with a deposit of more than 22 billion VND.

In Luc Nam district, some customers also had their auction results canceled because they did not pay to receive land...
