Nearly 48,000 candidates only take the exam to graduate from high school

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Kim Son, Minister of Education and Training, emphasized the role and importance of the high school graduation exam. In particular, this year's exam has some new points in the organization, localities need to thoroughly grasp and implement, uphold the sense of responsibility; do a good job of decentralization, delegation of authority, and not be subjective. The Minister of Education and Training highly appreciated the preparation work for the exam of localities and noted that the National Exam Steering Committee and the Provincial Exam Steering Committee need to have unity and clarity in directing, operating and implementing tasks.

Minister Nguyen Kim Son reminded the local exam steering committees to promote spirit and responsibility to successfully organize the exam.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Pham Ngoc Thuong, Deputy Minister of Education and Training, Head of the National Steering Committee for the 2023 High School Graduation Exam, requested localities to continue to organize training well, paying special attention to exam room security, transportation, preservation of exam papers and test papers, and at the same time fully and best prepare facilities, equipment, and human resources for the exam; have a plan to respond to arising situations. Continue to coordinate well between sectors and units in performing assigned tasks. Strengthen inspection and supervision to ensure the exam takes place safely, seriously, and in accordance with regulations.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the 2023 high school graduation exam will take place from June 27 to 30. This year, a total of 1,024,063 candidates registered to take the exam, of which 47,769 candidates took the exam only for graduation, accounting for more than 4.6%. More than 55% of candidates registered to take the social science exam, and more than 31% of candidates took the natural science exam.

In Hai Duong, preparations for the exam are also being carried out on schedule. It is expected that by June 24, high schools will complete the exam review work for students.

In 2023, Hai Duong has 21,990 candidates registered for the exam, of which nearly 65% ​​of candidates registered for the social science group, more than 33% of candidates registered for the natural science group. The Provincial Steering Committee for the 2023 High School Graduation Exam has established 42 examination councils with 932 examination rooms and 12 backup examination sites; mobilized about 3,255 officers for exam supervision, police, medical staff and some other forces to serve the exam.
