Mac Thanh Nhung in Bich Nhoi 3 area, Minh Tan ward (Kinh Mon, Hai Duong) is a character in the 'Addresses needing help' section of Hai Duong Newspaper and has received 318 million VND in support from benefactors.
According to Ms. Tran Thi Hai Ha, Nhung's mother, the family has so far received 318 million VND from charity groups and associations to successfully perform heart surgery and treat her illness.
Of which, philanthropists and volunteer groups donated over 213 million VND; the rest was Nhi Chieu High School, where Nhung is studying, calling for support on social networks and staff and doctors of Hanoi Heart Hospital mobilizing support.
"I promise to try to stay healthy, study well, strive to become a useful citizen, spread good things to the less fortunate and those in difficult circumstances so as not to let down my parents, teachers, friends, and benefactors," Nhung said.
Up to now, Nhung has been discharged from the hospital and returned home.
