Compared to 2024, Hai Duong's scientific topics, tasks and implementation budget from 2025 have all decreased.
On the afternoon of December 24, the Provincial Science and Technology Council met to evaluate the results of the implementation of the science and technology plan for 2024 and discuss the draft science and technology plan for 2025.
Comrade Nguyen Minh Hung, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Science and Technology Council chaired the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung highly appreciated the members of the Provincial Science and Technology Council for actively researching and discussing to provide useful information and positive comments on each scientific topic and task. Thereby, topics and tasks that are new, creative and have the ability to be applied in practice have been selected. Like many previous years, this year, some fields have changed but the number of registered topics and tasks is not much and not of strategic significance. The field of science and technology is a pillar issue but only 4 topics have been selected.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee noted that in order for the topics and tasks to be implemented effectively, the Department of Science and Technology should fully absorb the opinions of the members and make appropriate adjustments. Coordinate with the Department of Finance and relevant departments and branches to ensure effective funding. It is necessary to assign and assign specific responsibilities for each topic and task. Mobilize enterprises, organizations and individuals outside the state sector to participate in research and propose scientific topics and tasks.
At the meeting, members of the Provincial Science and Technology Council voted to agree to carry out 28 new scientific tasks in 2025 with a budget of over 26.6 billion VND, a decrease of 1 topic and 12.4 billion VND compared to the previous year.
Of which, the agricultural sector has 7 topics; the medical and pharmaceutical sciences sector has 5 topics; the social sciences sector has 12 topics; the science, technology and engineering sector has 4 topics.
The Provincial Science and Technology Council will submit to the Provincial People's Committee for decision.
