At the 31st session, the Central Inspection Commission proposed that the Politburo consider disciplining the Secretary of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee and a number of other officials.

On August 16-17, in Hanoi, the Central Inspection Commission held its 31st meeting. Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, and Head of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu chaired the meeting.
At this session, the Central Inspection Commission reviewed and concluded a number of contents.
Considering the results of the inspection when there were signs of violations against Party Central Committee member, Ben Tre Provincial Party Secretary Le Duc Tho, the Central Inspection Committee found that Mr. Le Duc Tho seriously violated Party regulations, State laws, regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example in declaring and making assets and income transparent; explaining the origin and fluctuations of assets dishonestly, incompletely, and not in accordance with regulations.
Mr. Le Duc Tho's violations have negatively affected the reputation of the Party and the individual, to the point that disciplinary action must be considered. Based on Party regulations, the Central Inspection Committee reports and proposes that the Politburo consider and decide.
Regarding the above violations, there are also responsibilities of a number of party organizations and party members. The Central Inspection Commission requests the Party Executive Committee of the State Bank and related organizations to lead and direct the correction of violations and shortcomings that have been pointed out; review, consider responsibilities and discipline related organizations and individuals, and report the results to the Central Inspection Commission.
Considering the results of the inspection when there were signs of violations against Central Party Committee member, Standing Deputy Secretary of Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee Dieu K'ré, the Central Inspection Committee found that Mr. Dieu K'ré lacked self-cultivation and training, violated moral qualities and lifestyle; violated regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example, affecting the reputation of the party organization and the individual.
Based on Party regulations, the Central Inspection Commission reports and proposes the Politburo to consider and decide.
Considering the proposal of the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee on disciplinary action against party members who violated the law, the Central Inspection Committee found that Mr. Pham Gia Luat, former member of the Provincial Party Committee and former Director of the Provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, had degraded in political ideology, morality and lifestyle; violated Party regulations and State laws; violated regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and exemplary responsibilities in implementing investment projects, managing and using finance; exploiting and consuming mineral resources, causing very serious consequences, causing great damage to the state budget, many cadres and party members were criminally prosecuted, negatively affecting the reputation of the party organization and state management agencies in the locality.
Pursuant to Party regulations, the Central Inspection Committee proposed that the Secretariat consider and discipline Mr. Pham Gia Luat.
Also at this session, the Central Inspection Commission reviewed and resolved a denunciation of a case; discussed and gave opinions on the draft Procedure for reviewing and enforcing discipline on violating party organizations and party members, the Procedure for handling denunciations of the Politburo and the Secretariat, and reviewed and decided on a number of other important contents.
