Comrade Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office, was elected by the Central Executive Committee to the Politburo and hold the position of Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission.
According to the announcement issued on the afternoon of January 23, the Central Committee has agreed to let comrade Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Inspection Committee, step down from the position of Head of the Central Inspection Committee to focus on performing the duties of Standing member of the Secretariat.
The Central Committee elected three additional members of the 13th Central Inspection Committee, including: Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office; Nguyen Hong Linh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee; Doan Anh Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan Province.
Comrade Nguyen Duy Ngoc was then elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission and member of the 13th Politburo.
Since October 2024, comrade Tran Cam Tu has been assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Standing Member of the Secretariat and Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission until now.
Comrade Nguyen Duy Ngoc, 61 years old, from Kim Dong district, Hung Yen province; Secretary of the 13th Party Central Committee; Member of the 13th Party Central Committee.
Comrade Ngoc has many years of working experience in Hanoi City Police, holding positions such as Chief of Thanh Tri District Police, Head of Traffic Police Department, Chief of Office of Investigation Police Agency, Deputy Director of City Police.
In November 2016, Comrade Ngoc was appointed as Deputy Director General of the General Department of Police, Ministry of Public Security. After the Ministry of Public Security abolished the General Department level, he became Director of the Department of Police Investigation of Crimes of Corruption, Economy, and Smuggling (C03).
In August 2019, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Public Security and Head of the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security. At the end of 2023, Comrade Ngoc was promoted to the rank of Senior Lieutenant General.
In June 2024, he was assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Chief of the Party Central Committee Office and two months later was elected as a member of the 13th Party Central Committee Secretariat.
The Central Inspection Commission is a specialized inspection and supervision agency of the Central Executive Committee, performing tasks and powers as prescribed by the Party Charter; advising and assisting the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat in directing, guiding, and organizing the implementation of the Party's inspection, supervision, and disciplinary tasks.
