When trained in different countries, lecturers are influenced by the accent of that country, so their pronunciation is different... this surprises students because they have long been familiar with British or American accents.
Professor Nguyen Minh Ha believes that students must accept the diversity of English accents of lecturers. In addition, the regional factor of teachers also affects pronunciation, so there are many lecturers who teach in English, making it difficult for students to understand. "However, this is normal because in this case, students are studying a major, not a language. Students also have to adapt so that when they work in a multinational environment, they will no longer be surprised," Professor Ha explained.
