According to the Department of Education and Training, the first thinking assessment test of Hanoi University of Science and Technology in Hai Duong on April 28 had nearly 600 candidates registered to take the test.
On April 28, nearly 600 candidates will take the Hanoi University of Science and Technology’s thinking assessment test at Sao Do University (Chi Linh). The candidates are mainly students from Hai Duong, a few are students from neighboring localities such as Hanoi, Bac Giang, Quang Ninh, Hung Yen, Thai Binh, etc.
In 2024, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will coordinate with the Department of Education and Training of Hai Duong and Sao Do University to organize 3 rounds of thinking assessment exams. In addition to the above exam, there will be 2 more exams on June 8-9 and June 15-16. This is the first time Hanoi University of Science and Technology has organized a thinking assessment exam in Hai Duong, creating favorable conditions for candidates from Hai Duong to not have to go to other provinces to take the exam.
Previously, the first competency assessment test of Hanoi National University in Hai Duong was also held at Sao Do University with the form of taking the test on computers like the thinking assessment test, so the preparation work was favorable. The representative of Sao Do University's leadership informed that by April 24, the facilities and technical infrastructure serving the exam had been basically completed. Candidates who registered for the exam have paid a fee of 450,000 VND/candidate/exam. Candidates will take the exam on the computer, consisting of 3 parts: mathematical thinking (60 minutes), reading comprehension (30 minutes) and scientific thinking/problem solving (60 minutes). These are 3 independent exam parts, the exam questions will focus on assessing the candidate's thinking ability, not testing knowledge of any subject.
With a maximum score of 100 points, candidates will use the results of this thinking assessment test for university admission. Currently, more than 40 schools use the thinking assessment test results of Hanoi University of Science and Technology for admission in 2024. A representative of Hanoi University of Science and Technology said that candidates who take the thinking assessment test and get a score of 50/100 points or more have a chance to enter Hanoi University of Science and Technology. In particular, top majors in the field of information technology must have a score of 80/100 points or more to have a chance to be admitted.
