Candidates taking the 2023 thinking assessment exam

The first round of the thinking assessment exam will take place on December 3 with nearly 3,000 candidates taking the exam, divided into 107 exam rooms at 16 exam locations in 8 provinces and cities, including: Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Nam Dinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Da Nang.

The 2024 thinking assessment test is held earlier than last year to help candidates get acquainted with the content, structure, and software of the test.

From the results of this exam, candidates can evaluate their current thinking ability to have a suitable review plan.

The structure of the 2024 thinking assessment test remains stable as in 2023, consisting of 3 parts: mathematical thinking, reading comprehension and scientific thinking, in which the content of the test sections does not focus on testing knowledge of subjects, but focuses on assessing individual thinking abilities.

In particular, the scientific thinking section no longer has the concept of subject combinations, consistent with the content of the new high school program.

Candidates who take the thinking assessment test will be issued a certificate of test results valid for two years and can use this score to apply to universities that accept this result.

In 2024, Hanoi University of Science and Technology plans to organize 6 rounds of exams, the last of which will be on June 15 and 16, 2024. The exams will take place over two days on Saturday and Sunday to facilitate candidates.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology continues to apply automatic check-in technology using citizen identification cards integrated with the personal data management system on the national population database to identify candidates to thoroughly prevent proxy exams and cheating in exams.
