Voters of Cam Giang and Nam Sach petitioned many issues regarding water pollution.

On April 22, Group 1 of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Duong province met with voters in Cam Giang and Nam Sach districts. Voters from the two districts made many recommendations regarding water pollution.

Comrade Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Duong province received the petition of voters of Cam Giang district.

At the meetings, 23 voters from the two districts expressed their opinions on many areas. Among them, pollution of water sources for daily life, production and granting of land use right certificates were issues that many people reflected and recommended.

Voters in Cam Giang reported that the Kim Son River has been polluted many times but has not changed, affecting turtle and soft-shell turtle farming and the lives of people living nearby. Voters suggested that there should be links between relevant sectors and localities inside and outside the province in handling water pollution; strictly punishing businesses that discharge waste causing environmental pollution...

Delegate Nguyen Thi Mai Thoa, Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education, informed voters of Cam Giang district about the expected content and program of the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly.

In Nam Sach district, voters requested the government to pay attention to raising allowances for some policy beneficiaries such as sick soldiers and veterans; support housing construction for people with meritorious services; pay attention to directing the settlement of citizens' complaints and denunciations, and strictly implement the citizen reception regime of leaders...

Voters in the two districts also complained about the delay in issuing land use right certificates; concerns about the fees for converting documents when communes merge; and unsatisfactory compensation for site clearance of some projects.

After listening to voters' opinions, Comrade Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Duong province, assessed that the situation of polluted river water affecting production and people's lives is a pressing issue. Localities are looking for solutions. Comrade Le Van Hieu said that through monitoring, the Provincial People's Council has requested the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to direct the collection of water samples, regular inspections, and continuous supervision of cooperatives and private clean water enterprises in the province.

Voter Nguyen Van Phu in Nam Chinh commune (Nam Sach) made a petition to the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Duong province.

To strictly handle enterprises that pollute the environment, comrade Le Van Hieu requested that localities monitor and inspect regularly and suddenly, and absolutely not trade the environment for economic benefits. Regarding the granting of land use right certificates and compensation for site clearance, comrade Le Van Hieu requested that districts ensure fairness, clearly explain to the people and strictly handle any negativity or violations that are discovered.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Le Van Hieu informed voters that the province is considering reissuing land use right certificates free of charge for households that donate land or have their land recovered for public works. All merged commune-level administrative units are also considered for full support of costs related to name changes...

Chairman of Nam Sach District People's Committee Ho Ngoc Lam clarified a number of issues reflected by voters in the district at the meeting.

On April 24 and May 3, Group 2 and Group 3 of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Duong province continued to meet with voters in Ninh Giang, Gia Loc, Thanh Ha districts and Hai Duong city.

At the meetings, voters of Nam Sach and Cam Giang districts listened to reports on responses to voters' opinions and recommendations, handling of citizens' petitions from the previous meetings, and the expected time and agenda of the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly. The 7th session is scheduled to open on May 20 and close on the morning of June 28.
