The Investigation Police Agency of Chi Linh City Police (Hai Duong) has just decided to prosecute the case and prosecute Luong Van Tam for robbery.
At around 4:00 p.m. on December 18, Luong Van Tam (born in 2004, in Nam Nhoong commune, Que Phong district, Nghe An province) rode a motorbike without a license plate around Chi Linh city, looking for a vulnerable gold and silver shop to rob. 30 minutes later, Tam went to Minh Khoi gold and silver shop (in Tu Giang residential area, Tan Dan ward) to buy 2 gold necklaces.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang (born in 1991, owner of the gold shop) took the two necklaces for Tam to see. Tam took the two necklaces and looked at them again because there were many customers coming in to buy them at that time so he could not carry out the act. At about 5:50 p.m. the same day, when no one was buying anything and only Ms. Hang was watching the shop, busy writing the bill, Tam took the two necklaces and ran out, started the motorbike and fled.
Ms. Hang shouted and ran out of the house with her husband to chase and hold Tam. But Tam managed to escape to the other side of the street. When Tam jumped into a nearby ditch to escape, he was arrested by Ms. Hang, her husband, the local people and the Tan Dan Ward Police. The gold Tam stole was worth about 40 million VND.
At the police station, Tam confessed that on October 20, he bought a Honda Winner X motorbike on installments for 40 million VND..On December 20, Tam had to pay part of the money so he came up with the idea of robbing a gold shop to pay.
In 2023, Tam had a previous conviction for theft. Tam had just been released from prison for a few months when he committed another crime.
