On the morning of June 20, the Standing Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Council held a conference to supervise urban planning management in the area. The conference discussed many problems in urban planning management.

Also attending the conference were comrade Luu Van Ban, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee and leaders of the Provincial People's Council, a number of departments, branches and localities.
At the meeting, delegates "dissected" many problems in urban planning management in the province at present, analyzed the causes and proposed solutions.
Before this supervision conference, the Standing Committee of Hai Duong Provincial People's Council had 2 delegations directly supervising urban planning management in Hai Duong City, Chi Linh City, Kinh Mon Town and Binh Giang District.
Concluding each content at the supervision conference, Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Council Le Van Hieu emphasized the need to focus on planning the wastewater treatment system in rural areas, urban green tree systems and allocating funds for sanitation and beautification activities in urban areas in the province.
Departments, branches and localities strengthen management and review regulations related to urban construction order management with types of housing, housing combined with production and business in terms of maximum and minimum height to ensure construction in accordance with regulations and planning, creating a clean, civilized urban landscape. Synchronously and effectively deploy programs, plans and projects on planning, construction, management and urban development in Hai Duong province.
Through the supervision of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and the report of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province, the planning management work in the province has achieved many positive results in the establishment, appraisal, approval and management of urban planning but still has limitations.
Specifically, the progress of completing, reporting, appraising, and approving general urban planning (cities, towns, and townships) is slower than required. The work of establishing and organizing the management of zoning plans, detailed urban plans, planning management regulations, and urban architecture in localities is also slow, affecting the attraction of investment and the implementation of construction investment projects (especially some key projects and works at the provincial and district levels)...
Along with that, the quality of some planning projects approved in previous years is not high, the planning vision is not good, lacks orientation, and there is no research connecting localities. The implementation of urban development programs and urban classification projects of localities according to the general urban planning is still slow.
