Digital transformation associated with sustainable development tasks at some airports

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has just issued a plan to promote and raise awareness about "Digital transformation associated with sustainable development of the Vietnamese Civil Aviation Industry (CIA) in the period 2024-2030".

With the theme "Propaganda and raising awareness of the e-Government Architecture version 2.0 of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) in relation to the sustainable development of the Vietnamese aviation industry", the CAAV aims to raise awareness.

From there, transform awareness into action for each agency, unit, and enterprise in the entire industry towards the industry's sustainable development goals, digital transformation, and building an e-Government architecture.

Accordingly, socio-political organizations (Trade Unions, Youth Unions, etc.) in the entire industry are encouraged to participate, take the lead in developing plans, and act as the core for the task of propagating Digital Transformation associated with the sustainable development task of the entire industry.

At the same time, strengthen training in skills and expertise in digital transformation, sustainable development and propaganda for relevant subjects, especially for youth union members, trade union members in the whole industry and the social community.

In addition, organize seminars, presentations, demonstrations to introduce technology, overall solutions, and detailed technical solutions for implementation.

According to the plan, the propaganda content focuses on the tasks and goals of sustainable development of the industry; propaganda of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies on Environmental Security in sustainable development; Vietnam's international commitments on environmental protection;

In particular, the units will focus on action programs on green energy conversion, reducing carbon and methane emissions in the transportation sector; orienting the transition to green development methods, without greenhouse gas emissions;

At the same time, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam also encourages units to research and apply digital technology to optimize the management and operation of aviation infrastructure and air transport activities, ensuring safety, smoothness, and reducing energy consumption;

Research on increasing the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to gradually replace traditional aviation fuel on Vietnamese aircraft to reduce net carbon emissions to '0' by 2050; digital transformation and building e-Government Architecture...

In the immediate future, in the third and fourth quarters of this year, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam will pilot a number of propaganda and training activities on digital transformation associated with the sustainable development tasks of the aviation industry at a number of airports to gain practical experience before officially implementing the plan.
