As the Lunar New Year of At Ty is approaching, with the spirit of 'leaving no one behind', many meaningful programs are being implemented to take better care of poor households, workers, and laborers... to have a happy and warm Tet.
While everyone is busy preparing for the New Year, there are still many less fortunate people who struggle to make a living every day, looking forward to a warm and happy Tet. With the motto of not letting anyone miss Tet, many activities aimed at the poor, joining hands to help the disadvantaged enjoy the Spring and celebrate Tet are widely deployed by all levels, sectors and localities across the country.
To bring a warm Tet to every home, a series of programs such as: Charity Tet, Love Tet, Solidarity Spring - Affectionate Tet, Sum Vay Tet, Affectionate Tet, Zero-dong Bus Trip, Soldier Spring, Border Spring or programs such as: Zero-dong Supermarket, Spring Bus Trip, Shopping for Tet with Workers... have been deployed in all localities across the country; covering from urban to rural areas, ethnic minority areas, mountainous areas or islands. This movement has become a beautiful feature of compassion, social responsibility, creating material resources to support the poor, policy families, vulnerable groups... to celebrate the traditional Tet.
For example, as the largest city in the country, and also the place where many people and poor workers from other localities come to work and live, this Tet At Ty, Ho Chi Minh City has spent nearly 1,500 billion VND to take care of Tet for the people. Accordingly, the city gave more than 325,000 gifts, each worth from 1.3 to 3.1 million VND with a budget of more than 423 billion VND to people with meritorious services; spent nearly 236 billion VND to give 131,000 gifts to officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers; about 190 billion VND to give gifts to individuals under social protection, poor households, etc.
In addition, the City Labor Federation has been organizing programs such as "Tet Sum Vay" to take care of 15,000 households; "Ticket of Love - Spring of Reunion" to give bus, train and plane tickets to 40,000 union members and workers to return to their hometowns for Tet; "Workers' Festival - Market of Love" to take care of 9,500 union members in difficult circumstances... Not only that, unions at all levels also organize delegations to visit and give gifts of encouragement; organize year-end parties and lucky money for workers and workers who do not return to their hometowns for Tet...
Every time Tet comes, the Party, the State and political and social organizations always pay attention and try to devote all resources to take care of policy families, poor households, people in difficult circumstances, people in remote areas, workers, laborers... so that everyone can have a warm, full and meaningful Tet.
Recently, the Prime Minister also issued Directive No. 45/CT-TTg on strengthening measures to ensure a joyful, healthy, safe and economical Lunar New Year 2025. Accordingly, the Prime Minister directed ministries, branches and localities to focus on reviewing and grasping the living conditions of policy beneficiaries and people in difficult circumstances (poor households, near-poor households, people in localities affected by natural disasters, epidemics, remote areas, border areas, islands, ethnic minority areas, workers, laborers, unemployed people...) to care for them and promptly have appropriate support policies. This care and concern not only demonstrates the spirit of mutual love but also strengthens people's trust in the leadership of the Party, State and local authorities.
Not only sectors and levels, but also individuals and businesses have joined hands to share and support the poor and disadvantaged to celebrate Tet through practical actions such as giving gifts, lucky money, rice or essential goods. Although the gifts are not too large, they are still imbued with warmth and joy to poor households and people in difficult circumstances.
For the poor and those in difficult circumstances, food, clothing, rice and money are huge concerns, especially during Tet. Gifts are like a warm feeling, helping to reduce their economic burden; at the same time, partly encouraging them to strive to improve their lives, welcoming the new year with joy and peace.
Tet is not only a time of transition between the old year and the new year, but it also contains many spiritual and cultural meanings. This is also an occasion for family reunion. Every time Tet comes, no matter where they are or what they do, everyone wants to return home and reunite under the warm roof of their beloved family. Working together to take care of every family and every person so that they can have a warm and family-friendly Tet is a meaningful activity, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love and support; the spirit of sharing and solidarity of the nation that has been passed down for thousands of years is still continued and preserved.
The Lunar New Year of the Snake is approaching, everyone is excited, wishing everyone a happy, prosperous, healthy and peaceful New Year. To make that wish come true, joining hands and contributing together will contribute to "leaving no one behind", spreading the warmth of spring more fully and meaningfully.
