The Minister of Industry and Trade requested the Departments of Industry and Trade of provinces and centrally-run cities to implement solutions to ensure supply-demand balance, stabilize the market, and prevent sudden price increases before, during and after Tet.
The Minister of Industry and Trade has just issued Directive No. 01/CT-BCT on implementing solutions to stimulate consumption and promote domestic market development during the Lunar New Year and the first quarter of 2025.
Accordingly, the Minister of Industry and Trade requested the Department of Industry and Trade of provinces and centrally-run cities to closely monitor market developments and supply and demand of essential goods, especially those with high demand or high price fluctuations in the area.
Implement solutions to ensure supply-demand balance, stabilize the market, avoid shortages and disruptions in supply that cause sudden price increases before, during and after Tet, as well as strengthen coordination with businesses to forecast consumer demand, thereby developing appropriate goods supply plans.
The Minister requested that the Departments of Industry and Trade coordinate with businesses and distribution systems to strengthen the organization of large-scale, synchronous, concentrated promotional programs nationwide, creating a strong spillover effect, encouraging people to buy Vietnamese goods, especially during the Lunar New Year 2025...
In this directive, the Minister of Industry and Trade requested Vietnam Electricity Group to proactively establish a direct method of operating electricity supply, coordinate with the National Electricity System and Market Operation One Member Limited Liability Company (NSMO) to mobilize power sources in the national electricity system to ensure sufficient electricity supply for production and consumption during the Lunar New Year and the first quarter of 2025.
In addition, the above units must develop backup plans to ensure stable and continuous power supply, especially in areas producing essential goods, industrial parks, export processing zones and densely populated areas.
Focus on ensuring safety and preventing electrical incidents and fires caused by power grids in public places, residential areas, and entertainment areas.
For units with commercial business activities, the Minister of Industry and Trade recommends actively participating in local market stabilization programs.
Strengthening supply-demand connection programs, supporting the consumption of agricultural products, safe food, regional specialties, OCOP products, and organizing Tet sales programs with preferential prices and deep discounts, combined with large-scale concentrated promotional activities, creating a strong spillover effect, encouraging people to buy Vietnamese goods.
The Vietnam National Petroleum Group, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group and key petroleum trading enterprises must strictly implement regulations on circulation reserves and the total minimum petroleum source allocated in 2025, ensuring a stable supply of petroleum to serve production and people's consumption, the directive emphasized.
