Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee requested to strengthen fire prevention and fighting after the burning of a coffee shop in Hanoi

On December 19, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province issued an official dispatch requesting heads of departments, branches, sectors and organizations of the province to continue to strictly implement the Prime Minister's instructions, especially Directive No. 01/CT-TTg dated January 3, 2023 on strengthening fire prevention and fighting in the new situation; Directive No. 19/CT-TTg dated June 24, 2024 on strengthening fire prevention and fighting for multi-storey houses, multi-apartment houses, individual houses combined with production and business; instructions of the Provincial People's Committee and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on implementing the above instructions and plans.

The provincial police preside over and coordinate to promote propaganda and guidance on knowledge and skills in fire prevention, fire fighting, rescue, and fire safety conditions for people and facilities at high risk of fire and explosion, and mini-apartments.

Correct compliance with regulations on fire prevention and fighting at construction sites, facilities, and crowded places during the upcoming holidays and Tet.

On December 19, the Prime Minister sent an official dispatch to the Ministers of ministries and ministerial-level agencies; Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee; Chairmen of the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities regarding the fire that occurred at a coffee shop on December 18, 2024, in Co Nhue 2 Ward, Bac Tu Liem District (Hanoi), causing particularly serious consequences, injuring and killing many people.

The police of all units and localities continue to seriously and effectively implement the Party and State's directives in ensuring security, order, preventing and combating crimes and law violations; strengthen propaganda, education and crime prevention, especially crimes arising from conflicts and crimes that disturb public order...

The Minister of Public Security and Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities shall continue to strictly implement the Prime Minister's instructions on fire prevention and fighting; strengthen propaganda, guidance and rectification of compliance with regulations on fire prevention and fighting safety at constructions, facilities and crowded places during the upcoming holidays and Tet.
