Share good practices to improve the quality of Youth Union activities

On the afternoon of February 21, Hai Duong Provincial Youth Union held a workshop to improve the quality of activities of the Youth Union in Hai Duong province.

Comrade Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Duong province attended and directed the conference.

Also attending were Permanent Vice Chairwoman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Council Nguyen Thi Ngoc Bich; representatives of a number of Central Youth Union agencies, a number of Provincial and City Youth Unions in the Northern region; departments, branches, sectors, and Youth Union organizations in the province.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, affirmed the role of the Youth Union in the political system from the central to local levels. Many cadres who have grown up from the Youth Union have headed organizations, contributing to the development of the country. In any historical period, the youth is the mainstay in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee said that under the impact of the market economy, the awareness of the young generation has changed a lot compared to the previous period. However, he pointed out that there is still a part of the youth who do not live for the common goals and ideals of the country, lack ambition and aspiration, fall into individualism, live pragmatically, and are far from cultural traditions, wasting their youth.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the Youth Union to study and implement appropriate solutions to attract, gather and promote the role of today's youth. At the same time, closely grasp the aspirations of union members and youth to promptly propose and recommend to Party committees and authorities at all levels to issue mechanisms and policies to support young people to fully develop their capacity. Especially in the current period, the Youth Union needs to clearly define tasks and solutions to complete assigned tasks in response to the requirements of the apparatus streamlining revolution.

He hoped that representatives of the Youth Union organizations of provinces and cities would share good, creative and effective ways to improve the quality of Youth Union activities so that Hai Duong could apply and implement them to meet the requirements and tasks in the coming time.

Speaking at the conference, representatives of the Hanoi Youth Union, Hai Phong Youth Union, Thai Binh, Hung Yen, Lang Son Provincial Youth Union shared good solutions and models, effective and creative ways to attract union members and young people today; solutions to improve the quality of party member development work in high schools, colleges and universities; applying digital transformation in leadership, direction and implementation of the Youth Union and youth movements; the position and role of the team of Youth Union branch secretaries in villages and residential groups; promoting the development of the Youth Union and Association organizations through activities to attract and gather young workers in non-state enterprises.

Delegates focused on discussing, analyzing, and evaluating challenges, difficulties, and limitations, correctly identifying objective and subjective causes, exchanging, drawing lessons, sharing good models, creative ways of doing things, and learning from each other.

Taking note of the comments at the workshop, in the coming time, the Youth Union chapters at all levels in Hai Duong province will concretize the solutions into specific tasks, programs, and action plans, ensuring that the solutions are implemented effectively, promptly adjusted when necessary, and promoting the role of Youth Union officials.
