On the afternoon of June 17, the Central Youth Union Secretariat held a mid-term review of the peak emulation campaign to volunteer to accelerate the progress of the 500 kV line 3 circuit Quang Trach - Pho Noi.
At the conference, the Central Youth Union commended 4 Provincial Youth Unions, including Ninh Binh, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, and Hai Duong, for completing 100% of the workload during the peak emulation period of volunteering to support the acceleration of the implementation progress of the 500 kV line project, circuit 3, from Quang Trach to Pho Noi before June 20.
The 500 kV line through Hai Duong is about 30.79 km long, with 74 pole positions, passing through 4 districts, including Ninh Giang, Gia Loc, Thanh Mien and Binh Giang. Hai Duong Provincial Youth Union sent cadres to "eat and live together" with the construction units, mobilizing 25 teams with 625 youth union members to ensure the best service for the construction.
The young volunteers helped dismantle 18 houses and 16 barns and structures in the corridor and agreed on a compensation plan.
A representative of Hai Duong Provincial Youth Union said that the site clearance work along the power line corridor was completed on June 6 (5 days ahead of schedule). Volunteers participated in clearing and felling 382 eucalyptus and acacia trees in the corridor; and assisted local people in harvesting 5.2 hectares of rice and crops in the corridor (completed on June 10, 5 days ahead of schedule).
The 500 kV line 3 project from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen) is one of the national key projects, passing through 9 provinces. Since the beginning of June, the Central Youth Union Secretariat has identified supporting the implementation of the 500 kV line 3 project as an important and urgent task and has been carried out urgently and resolutely by the 9 Provincial Youth Unions.
By June 15, 9 Provincial Youth Unions had established 464 youth volunteer teams with 5,697 youth union members participating in supporting 297 construction sites (including pole erection sites, sites requiring site clearance to ensure safety of power line corridors, sites supporting resettled people...).
After half a month of launching, volunteer teams have supported the dismantling of 234/276 houses (84.8% of the work required to be implemented), 126/149 barns and structures (84.5% of the work completed); cleared and cleared 101 hectares of forest and cut down 17,991 trees in the plains and residential areas where the 500 kV power line corridor passes through to hand over the construction site.
