Authorities of Cam Giang district (Hai Duong) are focusing on clearing violations of irrigation works.
In December 2024, Cam Giang district resolutely launched a campaign to clear 192 cases of violations of the protection corridor of irrigation works and dykes, including many cases of deliberate procrastination.
Typically, from December 6 to 21, the district's functional forces, together with the authorities of related communes and towns, mobilized to dismantle 3 cases of temporary houses built by the following LLCs: Anh Anh, Thai Duong, Minh Thanh Construction and Transport on the right bank of Thai Binh River, Duc Chinh Commune. The District People's Committee has stopped illegal activities and cleared 2 material storage sites of the owner Pham Thi Ngai at km10+350 to km10+400 of the right bank of Thai Binh River in Cam Van Commune; and Le Thi Luyen's household on the bank of Sat River, Ngoc Lien Commune. The total area of temporary houses and tents dismantled is 1,495 m2.
The district and commune's inter-sectoral forces have stepped up their efforts to mobilize and resolutely dismantle 24 cases of houses and solid structures that have been slow to build and continue to violate the protection corridor of the T5 canal and Van Thai pumping station in Cam Hoang commune.
In addition, Cam Giang district and the communes of Cam Phuc, Luong Dien, Ngoc Lien, Tan Truong, Cam Dong and Cam Giang town have promoted and supported 38 cases of dismantling temporary houses, tents, planting trees, constructing works... violating the protection corridor of the main canal of Bac Hung Hai such as Kim Son and Trang Ky rivers.
According to the previous review, in Cam Giang district, there were 550 cases of violations of the protection corridor of irrigation works. Of these, 463 cases existed before the Law on Irrigation took effect (July 1, 2018), including 344 cases proposed to be allowed to continue to exist, 19 cases that need to complete remedial measures to allow them to exist, and 100 cases that must be cleared and relocated.
From July 1, 2018 to the end of 2023, 84 cases occurred in the district and in 2024, 3 more cases of violations of the protection corridor of irrigation works and dykes occurred.
