On the occasion of Lunar New Year 2024, trade unions at all levels have organized many activities to care for disadvantaged workers.
On the afternoon of January 27, at Phuc Dien Industrial Park (Cam Giang), the Trade Union of Industrial Parks of Hai Duong province organized the program "Tet Sum Vay - Spring Sharing".
At the program, the Industrial Parks Trade Union presented 450 gifts (each worth 500,000 VND in cash and gifts) to union members, workers and laborers in difficult circumstances.
On the occasion of the 2024 Lunar New Year, businesses supported buses to take 10,125 workers home for Tet with a total amount of more than 3 billion VND. In addition to visiting, subsidizing and giving Tet bonuses, many businesses organized meetings to encourage and reward workers with high achievements in production.
On this occasion, the Industrial Parks Trade Union mobilized all resources and saved operating costs to give nearly 5,000 gifts, worth nearly 3 billion VND, to disadvantaged workers. In addition, the trade union mobilized businesses and philanthropists to support more than 200 gifts worth nearly 100 million VND for workers.
On this occasion, more than 300 union members and workers of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks of Hai Duong province received gifts from the Party, State and Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
On the same morning, the Hai Duong City Labor Federation organized the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Chia Chia", presenting 230 gifts to union members in difficult circumstances (each gift includes 500,000 VND in cash and gifts). On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024, the City Labor Federation will visit and present 900 gifts, with a total value of more than 600 million VND, to union members, workers, and laborers in difficult circumstances.
According to the report, grassroots unions will present more than 2,700 gifts, worth 1.5 billion VND, to workers and laborers on this occasion. By January 27, grassroots unions had visited and presented 1,590 gifts to workers with serious illnesses and difficulties, with a total amount of nearly 400 million VND. 81 enterprises with trade unions have "13th month salary" for workers and laborers.
